Why Forsaken Pirates
We frequently get asked the question, “Why associate with pirates?” “Why Forsaken Pirates? " and other similar questions. People are confused as to why we would want to associate ourselves with pirates when they weren’t very socially accepted.
Forsaken means to be abandoned or forgotten. It’s no secret that many people dream of starting teams and organizations in the gaming industry. But many of those teams disbanded or stopped playing for various reasons, leaving many players “forsaken” and left behind in the remnants of the disbanded team.
Then, on the other hand, part of the pirate's code states that pirates are free spirits that follow no man’s rule. In other words, they are truly themselves and don’t follow what is known to be the social norm.
Within Forsaken Esports we believe that everyone willing to put in the work and maintain a positive attitude can be successful in a competitive scene. Given the proper conditions and a supportive team, players can express their “free spirit” and uniqueness in the game.

Reality Check
One of the largest foundations of our org is the belief that you don't have to be limited to a discord call. Your dreams don’t have to stay a dream or fantasy forever. Your friends that you spend time with in Discord, can take that something that you are all passionate about, and turn it into a reality.
Black Flag Activity
Black flags were used by pirates for their jolly rogers. One of the purposes of the black flags on a Jolly Roger was to give captains the ability to express uniqueness and differentiate themselves from others. The phrase “Black Flag Activity” is our way of expressing our goal of encouraging that uniqueness and individuality.
